The Smart Way to Travel in Bangalore

J Kumar Infrastructure Ltd. has been awarded a contract by Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) to construct the Airport Depot for the metro rail project. However, the building has been awarded a project that is being funded by the Asian Development Bank. In addition, the Blue line, often known as the ORR line, is being built by BMRCL. As a result, this line will link KR Puram, Yelahanka, and the airport in Bangalore. On the right side of Ballari road in Shettigere, near the trumpet toll plaza, the airport depot will be built.   • RV Road to Bommasandra: A 16-station, 18.82 km line from Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road to Bommasandra, expected completion in early 2024.

03. Pink Line:

  • Gottigere (Kalena Agrahara) to Nagawara: A 21.39 km line with 18 stations.Connecting Kalena Agrahara to Nagawara with 21.25 km across 18 stations, with parts projected to open by late 2024.

04. Blue Line (ORR and Airport Extensions):

  • Central Silkboard to KR Puram (ORR Line): Extending 18.24 km with 13 stations, this line is designed to alleviate traffic congestion along Bangalore’s bustling Outer Ring Road.
  • KR Puram to Kempegowda International Airport via Hebbal: A 37 km airport-bound line with 17 stations, expected to make airport access faster and more convenient for city residents and visitors.
  • A crucial 38.44 km line that will run from Silkboard to Kempegowda International Airport, passing through KR Puram and Hebbal, is expected to be completed by 2026.

Proposed Phase 3 (Pending Approval):

  • Orange Line: Planned to stretch 32.2 km from Kempapura to JP Nagar 4th Phase, intended to enhance connectivity along the Outer Ring Road with an estimated completion around 2028​.
